Meet Boo! Our gorgeous old rescue Golden Retriever.
Welcome to Boo! The Dog Blog
Share in our ‘tails’ of family life with our amazing old rescue Golden Retriever Boo.
We also want to share some advice and, hopefully, entertain and inform anyone thinking of adding a rescue Golden Retriever to their family.
Our wonderful old rescue Golden Retriever, Boo
Of course, he’s very hairy, often a bit smelly, quite slobbery and makes us laugh every single day.
(No, its not the husband). Its’s our wonderful, old rescue Golden Retriever, Boo.
This blog is about the joys and (to be honest) the challenges of being a family that is lucky enough to love an aging rescue dog.
And, in this case, an old rescue Golden Retriever, arguably, one of the world’s most favourite dog breeds .
Why write a blog about our gorgeous Old Rescue Golden Retriever?
Well, due to his age, we are all quite conscious that Boo may have limited time with us here on earth.
So, it feels right that, (before it’s too late), we tell the world about his time with us.
Maybe we can share helpful hints and advice as well as boasting shamelessly about our beautiful Boo.
To Be Completely Honest…
Being a the owner of an old rescue Golden Retriever is a fantastic privilege. But it isn’t easy and it isn’t cheap (not if you want to look after a Golden Retriever properly).
A big dog, like a Retriever, needs lots of nutritious food.
In addition, vets’ bills will be more expensive for a bigger breed.
And, of course, a retriever or indeed any big dog, will need plenty of space in your home.
Your dog will also need regular, frequent and entertaining exercise.
You will need to groom and brush a Golden Retriever regularly and probably include visits to a professional groomer too.
We hope you will enjoy our Boo Blog, just as much as we enjoy having Boo as an important part of our family.
